Delania Marvella: Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette Review and Swatches

So today’s review is going to be on the Too Faced Chocolate Palette. I know its been out for a while, but I was super excited when I got mine because ITS CHOCOLATE PEOPLE! Hehehhe click read more to see my review.

Packaging:

Can I please eat this (nomnomnom) It looks like a chocolate. A sturdy, durable, and well made chocolate. I always appreciate palettes that come with a huge mirror. Even more, a palette with a protective clear sheet over the eyeshadows with the names of each individual shades. The only other brand that does this that I know is Sleek.

Colour Selection:

This palette has a combination of cool and warm undertones, as well as mixed textures such as matte, shimmering and frost. At first I thought it would just be neutral eyeshadows. But I love the denim blue colour Candied Violet, which is a purpleish colour with pink glitter.

Formulation:

THIS THING SMELLS LIKE CHOCOLATE! If you are familiar with the Too Faced Chocolate Bronzer, this smells like it. Sure, its kind of gimmicky, but damn, it smells nice!

The shadows are really creamy and super blendable. I felt like all of the colours are well saturated when swatched. The only colour that was bland to me was Strawberry Bon Bon that creased pretty quickly.

That being said, Too Faced eyeshadows do tend to have a large amount of fall out (more than Urban Decay in my opinion). But this palette has less fall out than the other Too Faced palettes I’ve tried (I’m talking about the Christmas collection eyeshadows).

Lasts for a long time when accompanied with the Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

Verdict:

I think this palette is a great product to buy for people who are a sucker for neutral palettes but want a pop of color, and also people who love chocolate heheheh. This product retails for USD 49 at the Sephora website. And I think it is worth it. Though, I will not repurchase it just because I think there are already many other palettes in the market with similar colours.
