Grammy's 2014 Beauty Highlights

Okay, so the Grammy's were just held a couple of days ago, and I thought I'd go through some of my favourites (and unfortunately, least favourites) looks from the stars. This is the first time I'm doing a blog post like this, but hey, might as well give it a go right.



While there was a lot natural bronze glow going on, my fave has got to be Rita Ora. I mean come oooooonnnn, that purple is just so seductive, alluring and popping! Her hair looks absolutely stunning as well, paired with that glowing dress and a man-candy accessory, I can't say enough good things about her look :D

Katy Perry's dress rocked! I know it's Valentino, which makes it worth your time, but its so her! Just a more red-carpet Grammy's appropriate her.Her makeup shows how you're supposed to use a highlighter, and the ballerina bun complemented her entire whimsical look.

Ciara looks glowing, aside from the side effects of carrying a little bundle of joy in her belly, from all the bronziness going on, Ciara was definitely my highlight. Her dress looks like it belonged to some Goddess and her skin just looks so fresh!

Beyonce... hmm Beyonce... I know she's basically a Goddess and can wear a trash bag and call it couture, but the hair is too nostalgic for me (Octopus? I wore that hair ages ago) The makeup looked like it wasn't that well thought but it did set the tone for the night. Vogue call it the 'Beyonce effect'. Everyone was opting for hazy eyes and fresh skin and way looser than ever hair. I love her makeup thought, just wish I'd seen more of it underneath that hair.

Another one that I just can't make my mind up is Taylor Swift. The dress is kinda passe as in we've seen her in something similar almost every time she hits the red carpet, but I must give her points for tying to go dramatic with her makeup. Sure, she's done it before, but I much prefer this look than her old 'red-lipstick-cat-eye-all-the-way' crap.

Lorde oh Lord. She was just doing her. She can never go wrong with purple lipstick, but I must say its refreshing to see her with a sleek straight hair rather than her glorious curly maine. One thing that turned me off was watching her dip-dyed fingers. Someone please tell me that has a metaphorical motive or something.

Madonna has made a name for herself enough to know that she can wear whatever the hell she wants. So when she wore that pant suit and Oz's Theodora hat, all we can do is just say to our selves "Sigh, she's Madonna". But she needs sleep, a new dentist, get rid of the grill and just add a bit of eyeliner.

So that was my highlights from the Grammy Awards 2014. Obviously there was a lot of looks that I didn't cover, but hey, I have a short memory span and being that these celebs made it to my list, you know that they are worth a second glance.
