To celebrate my 21st Birthday and my Indonesian channel reaching 1.000 subscribers, I’m doing a giveaway contest! In this competition, Indonesia-based finalists can submit makeup videos with the theme ‘Birthday Makeup’. There are no restrictions! It can be something wearable that you would wear to a birthday party, an editorial look of your own interpretation or even themed looks such as a ‘Winter Wonderland Birthday’ and so forth.
The submission can be in the form of a makeup tutorial, speed tutorial, a slide show or even just a video of your final look! It doesn’t matter what makeup you use, or what equipment, camera or editing software. Anyone can enter, as long as you are based in Indonesia. You can enter more than once! So let your creative juices flow. I will judge you along with 3 other amazing beauty figures based on your creativity, presentation, production value and the overall experience of your video to determine the TOP 3 submissions.
Submission opens and ends from June 23rd to July 23rd. Every week I will feature some of the submissions on my Instagram and Facebook page, so get to it! I will be announcing the winners on my YouTube channel on the July 30th a.k.a my birthday. I hope to see your submission soon! Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
Why is it a video contest? Can’t you just do a simple giveaway?
Well, I have done so many giveaways in the past, and in the end a lot of the entries are spam. I even found out that some of them were going to sell the prizes again.
Since I worked hard to get all these prizes, I want it to help someone who’s actually going to make use of it. I don’t want these awesome products to go to waste. I also want to support the growing community of Indonesian Beauty Vloggers. Hopefully this contest will motivate more of you to come and join the fun.
I don’t have a camera can I still enter?
You don’t have to have an expensive camera to join. You can use your phone’s camera or borrow from a friend or family member (that’s what I did when I started lol). The winners will not be picked based on how much they spent to make their videos.
Why is the contest for Indonesia only?
I have spoiled my international viewers so many times on my English channel. But my Indonesian viewers need some more love. Plus, it makes me happy seeing so many Indonesian makeup enthusiasts stepping out and sharing their passion to the world J
Are the prizes sponsored?
Nope. I bought them all myself using my own money.

I don’t have a lot of makeup to do the video, but I still want to enter…
It doesn’t matter what products you use or how many of them you have. As long as you display your creativity, effort and hard work, your entry counts.
I don’t have editing software, how can I enter?
The video does not have to be a tutorial; it can be a speed tutorial, a slide show of photos, or even just a video of you explaining the look. Most computers come with free video editing software, such as iMovie, windows moviemaker or SONY vegas. You can even edit on your phone

1. Make a makeup video with the theme ‘Birthday Makeup’
a. In the title and in the video, mention that you are entering #marvellacontest
b. Include a link to youtube.com/marvelladelaniaINDO and the ‘GIVEAWAY CONTEST’ video in the description box and/or annotation
c. The video must be brand new. NO REPOSTING.
d. You must do the makeup. It can be on a model, as long as it’s your work.
e. Make sure that your video is ‘Public’ or ‘Unlisted’ and not ‘Private’
2. Fill the online form provided in the ‘GIVEAWAY CONTEST’ video’s description box
3. Be sure that you provide a link to your video in that form
4. Submit and you’re in!
5. Be sure to use #marvellacontest on your social media (eg. Facebook & Instagram) when you post about the contest.

25 %: CREATIVITY
How original their idea and makeup look is
25%: PRESENTATION
How well the video was done and how the makeup look was executed.
Eg: Funny, beautiful makeup look, good introduction, tidy, pretty background, etc.
25%: PRODUCTION VALUE
You don’t need to use fancy makeup products, equipments, camera or editing software. ‘Production Value’ is how much effort you put into the video. Such as a story line, using props, doing your hair and outfit, etc
25%: OVERALL EXPERIENCE
How enjoyable is the overall video.
1. Submissions are gathered on the 23rd of July
2. Each judge will mark the submissions based on the marking scheme. Total mark is out of 40
3. The mark the judges give to each submission will be averaged.
4. The contestants with the 3 highest average score are the winners.
