REVIEW: Limecrime Zodiac Glitter and Swatches (Leo, Gemini, Libra, Capricorn and Scorpio)

Hello humans! So, in case you can't tell, I'm currently obsessed with GLITTER! I tried some new glitter from limecrime called the Zodiac Glitter. If you wanna see the swatches and my full review, click more!

PACKAGING

So the box is similar to almost all the limecrime products. I love the details on the cap with the zodiac logos on the side. I also really appreciate that the use a clear container, so we can see the product without opening them.

APPLICATION:

The product is dispensed through these 3 hole filter. THANK GOD. I'm so tired of MAC glitters' open cap that makes it hard to control the amount of product dispensed. The only downside is that it takes more effort to dispense the chunkier glitter like LEO, SCORPIO and CAPRICORN.

THE FORMULA:

FALL OUT GALORE! I know glitters do tend to have a lot of fall out. But in comparison to MAC glitters, this one doesn't stick as well. The chunkier glitters are more forgiving, but GEMINI and LIBRA are so fine that it gets everywhere. I swatched it using the Limecrime Eyeshadow Helper and patted it on. The primer definitely helped but the excess product got everywhere.

The colours are very vibrant, though I think these products work better as a top coat because the glitters are intense, but the colour pigmentation are not. LEO is a gorgeous gold shade that is a bit dark. GEMINI works well for highlight but it did need a couple of layers to get intense. Libra was not my cup of tea. In the container it looked beautiful, but when swatching it, the colour looked more like a glittering bruise. But I think this will be great to make a gradient because it is the most blendable in my opinion. CAPRICORN is my favourite! It's a gorgeous green shade that doesn't need as much layers to shine. SCORPIO is a mind twister. It looked more blue in the container, but it is actually a black glitter with blue glitter. I love it! 

Under flash, you can barely see the colour except for LEO (the chunkiest glitter fyi). GEMINI looks great for highlighting because the glitter is so fine that it doesn't reflect light as much as LIBRA, which is the most disappointing under flash because it just looked like a faint pink glitter. CAPRICORN looked darker under flash and the green did not look as pigmented. While SCORPIO turned into a full on black glitter with flash.

 VERDICT:

I am loving these glitter, but not all of them. LIBRA is my least favourite because in the container it looks deceivingly gorgeous, but when applied it looked nothing like the packaging. CAPRICORN, LEO and SCORPIO looked the most like the packaged product when applied, though SCORPIO is darker when swatched. VIRGO is awesome for highlighting because the glitter is very subtle. BUT, I won't use this glitter for flash photography.

Overall, I'm very interested in trying out more shades of the Limecrime Zodiac Glitter, but I will advise that you use this with a glitter helper or primer and check out the swatches when purchasing because the packaged product does not do the actual glitter justice.
