So I purchased this mascara at MECCA Cosmetika. They don't have a big Kevin Aucoin collection so I just grabbed this and thank God I picked this product!
The mascara wand is regular sized with evenly spaced bristles. It's like a thicker version of Lancôme Hypnose. Can't really makeup my mind if its natural or plastic, but I do like the wand because it lets me build up the volume of my lashes.
The formula is kind of wet and not the darkest mascara I've ever worn (uhuk, Diorshow Blackout Mascara) And it does take its time to dry. The plus, it gives you more play time to build up volume. On the other hand, it means it is not as waterproof. Maybe its water resistant, but I tried showering with this on and it bleed like hell.
The application is so fun! You can really see the transformation of your lashes. I will say though, the wet texture makes it kind of sticky to apply a 2nd coat. So my recommendation will be to wait until the mascara is slightly dry before putting on more. It is also quite heavy since its so thick, so curl your lashes prior to putting on this product.
The final result is quite drastic. It doesn't look clumpy at all until the third coat. If you apply more than one coat, it can feel sticky, and your lashes will start sticking onto one another and make it look spidery. But if you apply it just right, your lashes will become way more visible.
So to sum up, I really love this mascara for when I want my lashes to look full. The only thing I hate about it is its really wet texture.
